waterfowler_gal
Well how about this... I get the trailer, boat and some decoys for $300. Would you take it or leave it? I thought for that price I can't say no. [image][/image]

huntn4bucks
Re: What do you think? [ QUOTE ] yeah no motor [/ QUOTE ] I have a paddle and a push-pole you can borrow. Is it a riveted boat? The reason I ask is that over time a riveted boat may develop leaks. If it doesn't leak, I'd say take it.
clayman
Re: What do you think? huntn4, Unles you're hunting out of a bass boat or a ski boat, Just about every fishing and duck boat in this part of the country is made of riveted aluminum. I fish out of a 14 foot aluminum boat that's at least 40 years old and it hasn't developed a leak in the seams yet. If you do get a leak, it's nothing a good aluminum welder can't patch. huntn4bucks
Re: What do you think? That's why I said "may" develop a leak. Not all do but if the boat has been abused...more than likely it will leak over time. I too have hunted and fished out of riveted boats and have also had to have them patched but I prefer an all welded boat over a riveted one. Most duck boats that are ran around here (Lowe, G3, Grizzly, and War Eagle...just to name a few) all have all-welded models.
Covehnter
Re: What do you think? Yeah if it's riveted and you treat it a little rough you'll have some leaks to fix. . . speaking from experience. The ole Lowe boat we have is taking a beating with the Go Devil pushing it, gotta save up for a all welded boat. . . .
