Re: Great Smokey Mnts?

My brother and I backpacked and fished the Big Creek watershed last year (over labor day).. I always keep a journal on hunting/fishing/camping trips. I'll send it to you in PM.. it has a bunch of other info like what the weather was, what I ate for breakfast, and stuff you dont care about, but you can wade through those details to extract the important fishing details.

hope it helps.. I also have a lot of photos, if you are interested, I'll post those.

Im not going but i want to see some pics!! You can probably do pretty well using standard Dry and Nymph paterns. Pheasant tail nymphs, Hares Ears Nymph, Zug Bugs, Parachute Adams, Light Cahills. You might try some beatle paterns. Ive had good luck using them for trout in small streams.

Re: Great Smokey Mnts?

Try Abrams Creek or Rabbit Creek.

What would you use for spinning tackle? We'll be staying in Townsend, TN for our honeymoon in a couple weeks. I might get a chance to do some fishing. I've always used doll flys, but all I caught was some smallmouth and a couple rock bass. Can you use treble hooks? Roostertails would probably work, but I'm not sure if they're legal.
