Re: what will he score?

In my part of the country these kind of deer aren't supposed to be there. I about fell over when I got these pics. September 15th is the opener. I'm supposed to be in Kansas m/l hunting but I may come home early if I can get a good pattern on him.

A little short in the brow tine department, but one heck of deer nonetheless. I had the spotting scope on a 10, Wednesday evening real similar to this one but with some decent brows and longer G4's. I've got a cam set up, hope to get some pics soon. Best of luck to you on this one!

Kind of tough to see his symmetrics, but I agree with some of the others, that dude is approaching the magic Booner status. He's got width and length. Mass and symmetrics might hurt him, but shooter for sure in my book.

Looks like he's got some junk stickin' here and there too. cool.gif

Re: what will he score?

I'm going to go out on a limb here. That deer has good mass, GREAT tine length, nice sweping main beams. a few extra junk points. In all, that deer has EVERYTHING a hunter could want. I am going to guess that he will gross score about 180 and after the deductions, which I truly don't see many, I would think it's safe to say you have yourself a Booner there, at the very lowest, I'm saying that deer goes 168, but I am guessing closer to 172

I know velvet will make a rack look bigger than it really is, but I also know that pictures never do an animal justice
