Question about NEF ML'ers.

I was browsing the Wally World website for special order guns. I ran across the NEF ML for $140! I didnt know they were that cheap!

I recently was going to order a .223 and add the ML barrel but the guy had a .22mag and a Optima for $100each. I bought them both. Had I known the NEF was only $140 I would have just ordered the NEF. I have already gotten an offer of $25 more then I payed for the Optima so I can easily get my money back.

Here is my question. Can you go from a ML to a Rifle? I know you can add a ML barrel to a Rifle Receiver but im not sure about going the other way. If I buy the ML I want to add a .270 and a .223 barrel next year. If I cant add the two barrels to this receiver Ill just wait until I can save the $200 for the .270 and then later add the ML and .223.

The guy I buy guns from thought the only restriction was going from Rimfire to Centerfire. Im not sure how accurate that is but if thats good information im going to try to get to Walmart next week to order the NEF.

Re: Question about NEF ML\'ers.

OO buck you are correct. You can not put a rifle barrel on a ML or Shotgun frame. You also can not put a rimfire barrel on either of those since the firing pin hits in different places.

Here is the NEF Website: click on barrel accessory program form more info and prices.
