Difference in a Food Plot, Corn, Salt/Mineral Site

I am just wondering how people from other states feel about the different Hunting regulations concerning luring deer into an area. Do you feel it's wrong or right on each type of food lure and do you feel that way based on your states regulations or your own personal convictions? This should be interesting.

Baiting and luring is legal in ky. too. I myself do set up feeders too. In my opinion if there is something you can do to increase your chances of being a successful hunter, then do it, as long as it is legal.

It was legal in VT and I had a nice corn and pellet grain feeder set up. I did so to help the deer not hunt over. Although I would hunt it with no proplems, just did not set it up for that reason.

Salt is illegal to use in VT so mineral licks have not ever been used by me.

VT has made baiting illegal this year due to there worries over CWD and I am fine with that too. Although I feel suppliments to deer food is a smart thing to do, especially on stressed deer up north where harsh winters can take there toll. I dont feel I personally need them to lure deer for hunting.

However I do hunt over clover/alfalfa/rye grass feilds that the local farmer planted for cow hay and the deer dont seem to mind them either. Also wild apple trees seem to litter my property here and there and stands seem to sprout up next to them... LOL
