how long before?

Re: how long before?

Normally thats not a problem for me since it gets tore up fairly quick. A lot faster then I can keep it out there. LOL

The trick is to spread it so its not in piles at all. Piles of feed will trap moisture a lot faster and can ruin it.

But corn will be picked over real fast since all critters eat it not just your deer.

(Dang Blue Jays, squirrels, and Coons. LOL)

The corn shouldn't ruin unless an abnormal amount has been put out. Just about every animal in the woods will assist the deer in eating the corn so it probably wont last long. I prefer to make feeders for my corn. This prevents alot of mishaps. You can make these feeders fairly cheap. Just take some regular white 4 inch plumbing pipe, put a cap on one end and leave the other end open but put it all the ways to the ground when attatched to the tree so that all the corn doesn't come out at one time, cut the pipe about 3-4 feet long (your choice). Then spray them with camo spray paint and your on your way. You can attatch the feeder to the tree with black electrical tape. My feeders require to be filled up about once every 8-10 days.

Hope this helps ya out.
