LifeNRA
Ok the rubber tubing broke last week right at the peep sight. I was shooting a lot lately, so I just ripped off the old piece still on the peep, and re-attached it. It is now about half of inch shorter. Will this cause any problems? How short can it be before it causes any problems? I thought it has a little snap now when fired. Could be me just paying more attention to it now. I got some new tubing the other day. I would imagine after a while I will need to replace it.

HeviShot
Re: Yet Another Peep Question? The peep I have installed is grooved and is tied into the bow string. You have to have a bow press to install one or your pro shop. One thing for sure is that it will not move or pop out,and you don't have to worry about tubing. dogdoc
Re: Yet Another Peep Question? Life--I've done that several times. I keep a brand new one on hand and put it on right before deer season.

I know if its too long it will not pull the peep level, but if its too short. Thats what I need to know. I just dont want to blow a shot a decent deer because this thing is not right! I am thinking about changing the peep to one without the tubing.
huntrman
Re: Yet Another Peep Question? I would just take it to your pro shop and ask them how long the tubing should be in case you have to replace it again. I have had to replace the tubing several times, but never did it myself. The good thing about the tubing peep sights is that you know the tubing is going to turn the peep into position EVERYTIME you draw.
tedicast
Re: Yet Another Peep Question? John, I agree with you about getting a non tubing peep. You won't be sorry. Your bow will be quieter, and you will gain a few fps in arrow speed. Plus, it is jusy one less thing to go wrong when you draw on a deer.
