New Bow Makes Good BAIT!

I got a new bow a couple weeks ago and began preparing to hunt the upcoming bow season ALONE.

While I have plenty of gun hunters in my family, only ONE also bowhunts and he isn't able to travel to where I am to join me.

So I figured I would just have to rely on the trusty cell phone to call for help should the need arise. But I wasn't looking forward to being alone.

However, my new bow caught my husbands eye. So he dug out his old bow...and I do mean old...like over 20 years. He bought a few things for it, fixed it up a bit and said he would just "target" shoot with me. This was how it was until I had to return to the bow shop for some adjustments on my new bow...

Thats when he took the bait. He got to looking at all the new bows hanging there. Next thing I know, hes asking about layaway (having just bought mine we didn't have the bucks for another immediately).

Lo and behold he puts a new bow on layaway. The shop owners found this amusing and teased him about not wanting to be "outdone".

On the way home I asked him about this expensive "target" bow. And he said, well, I suppose I'll have to hunt with you. I just started grin.gif ing

I had to share my story because I often read about men that wish their wives would hunt. In my case, its a bit reversed.

My husband originally had no intention of bowhunting. Even with a gun he hunts only a few days while I go every day possible. Hes not the diehard but I'm glad for the hunting he does do. wink.gif
