LIMBSAVERS!!! Anything Sims has I would try. My bow had some on it when I bought it. I added more and it got better! Maybe it would be a good idea to let some pro shop go over it as well. They might find something you cant see.

Good suggestions! I did install limbsavers and the s-coil stabilizer from Sims and I think it definitely helped my bow.

Re: Bow Setup

You might want to check the timing of your cams. I would assume you have a two cam bow? If your cams are out of time, then that may also effect your max poundage and the vibration in your limbs. Also, when you cranked up the poundage on your bow, did you turn the limb bolts in a 1-1 ratio? Meaning, did you turn each bolt exactly the same number of turns, or did you just turn each bolt until it wouldn't turn anymore? This will definately cause a lot of problems. Also, take your bow to a pro shop and let them see if your cams line up, are in time and that you don't have a bent axle or a broken bushing somewhere. Being new to bowhunting you might not know that something is out of whack or looks completely off kilter.

Re: Bow Setup

Also, Limsavers are a set of rubber pieces that you place on the underside of your limbs as close to the cable without touching as possible. They look like air pressure knobs on a semi except they are black. They have an extremely sticky backing so as to stay on your limbs and they help immensely to absorb the vibration. You can buy them at Wal-Mart. In fact, look them up on Basspro.com. That should give you some idea. Almost everyone I know has a pair on their bow.

Re: Bow Setup

Get a mid line used bow. It will be a huge leap from what you have now. I sold a nice Jenings a few months ago for $150 shipped. The bow was fully equiped and ready to hunt.

Re: Bow Setup

what kind of cams does it have and double check the tiller tuning on the bow to start with and you should be quieting things down for sure. find some nv's they look like donuts but have sims technology and then have your locals hop press the limbs and then unscrew the limb bolts and then put he boltt hru the nv and then screw the limb bolt back in.

another thing is have you had the bow serviced? had the shop take it down and grease it up as it should be and check the half rounds as well. then they could see if there is any problems witht he riser or the limbs as well then put the nv's on the limb bolts and then get some limb savers or i use the limb jacks which is what i like they are the same set up as the sims limb savers

once you have done that then if the limbs go down to 55 lbs or 50 lbs then back it off a 1/2 turn

use a good wrist sling as well. use string jacks or leeches on your string
