spineshot
We just put a small food plot of brassicas and wheat in on Aug 28. Got a little rain and we wonder if we need to fertilize(what kind) or if we need to let it grow. Will the deer start to eat on it as soon as it comes up?? Thayer
Re: how to care for a food plot?? A good rule of thumb is 200# of triple 13 per acre, disced in while planting. Come back 2-4 weeks later and top dress with 100# 46-0-0. Is that about right Dogdoc?
wtnhunt
Re: how to care for a food plot?? The deer might start eating certain plants as soon as they start coming up, really depends. Not really sure about what fertilizer and how much with the brassicas and wheat, but triple 13 would not hurt. Todd can give you some good advice.
