Dead Racoon.

Found a dead racoon in it one summer. Many maggots. It was gross smelling.

I had to climb the juice ridden tree, and use a stick to pry the stuck corpse off the platform.

Others I have are:

The Crows Nest: very high rifle stand on top of a knoll over looking an intersection of 3 log roads the deer travel on.

1000: Formally know as "The stand of a 1000 shots" since it has about 10 shooting lanes. Name just to long.

The GW stand: Just hapens to be a stand I traded with GWSmith and did not know what else to call it.

LOL

My favorite 2 are:

Eagles Nest

Contender

The eagles nest was just down off the top of a ridge that had a great view overlooking a bottom.

The contender was on the northside of that same ridge with a fairly short range view(and the fact that I used my Thompson Center Contender in 7x30 Waters from that stand had something to do with it too...LOL).

Both stands were on a lease outside of Lumpkin, Georgia.

My dad had a stand we built, that took all day to finish, there as well. His was on a different ridge that he liked.

We built it from pressure treated 16ft. 2x4's with a platform on top and a railing. He even used the screwgun to hold in place one of those plastic lawn chairs! He nailed camo material all around the railing.

We ended up calling that one "The Condo".

We also built it in the middle of summer...so under our breath we called it a few other names as well blush.gifgrin.gif
