well im haveing trouble finding deer. i have a few stands out already and went and checked them. well there hasnt been a deer around that area in about a month. so what should i do. there are plenty of acorns and beach nuts and apples but iv been tyo them and cant find the deer. also my season starts the 15 so i only have a few days

Find where the deer are traveling to and from. Scout form a distance. Find the deers bedding area and feeding area. Get between these two areas and you'll see deer.

Dogdoc: You are dang right! Spotlighting is a great (and legal) tool here in MN: You can not have weapons with you, but you can "shine" for deer this time of year (only till 10 p.m.) during the fall: However, I use shining as a great way to locate the preferred food source of deer: If I have alfalfa, corn, beans and Oaks, I will shine the areas at night and see where the deer are congregated: It is a great tool!

I have never shot a big buck in my life, so I don't know what that means...but for finding deer...shining works, as long as it is legal in your state.

its legal in NH from may to june i thikn then its closed and there is no point of doing it because people call the cops on you all the time i go introuble the last time i was out i had a .22 pistol in my truck and the gave me a ticket for it
