ladydiehard
I need some opinions please. A young fella wanted to pull my bow back and like a dummy, I let him try it. At about half draw, it slipped out of his fingers. Basically a half dry fire. The kisser button broke in half but other than that every thing appears to be fine. Do you think I need to have the bow checked by an expert? Or do you think it will be ok?

BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: Opinions please! Always defer to the expert even though chances are better that nothing bad happened you best have it checked its usually free if you have a pro shop already but I would deffinately have a expert check it out. Guest Finn
Re: Opinions please! Good advice above. Have your local shop check it to be safe.
BowJoe
Re: Opinions please! Usually where you bought the bow will inspect it for free. At least they should if they want you to buy from them again. Let the experts decide. what have you got to lose?
LifeNRA
Re: Opinions please! Let them check it. I seen a bow blow up in Cabela's one day while I was there, the string just flew off. Never know if there is any hidden damage.
xtremehunter45
Re: Opinions please! YES let someone look at it! happend to my friends bow and he screwed up a limb and had to replace it!
ladydiehard
Re: Opinions please! Good News! I had it checked out and its fine. Just had to have the kisser button replaced. WHEW! Thats one kid that won't be touching my new bow anymore. Since he had been shooting my husband's old bow (heavier poundage) I thought for sure he'd be fine with mine. A lesson learned! hutchies
Re: Opinions please! Yep I don't like anyone picking up my bow little lone shooting it unless I am standing right there and know them very well.

Tom2008
Re: Opinions please! Yeah I also dont' trust anyone with my bow. At school we had archery for one of the sessions so I brought my bow in a lot people wanted to try it. Of course the answer was no.
