Hauling my gear (with treestand)

I hunt out of a summit Broadhead Backpacker, and I have the same problem. I ended up buying a good size fanny pack, that i can fit most of my stuff in. I bought a pair of summit side bags, that go on the stand. I keep my EZ hanger, calls, book, and some other stuff right in the bags when I'm carrying the stand. I carry my extra clothes, or my hunting clothes depending on how sweaty I will gwt on the walk in strapped to the climber, stuffed into a Cabela's Scent bag. It has worked great for me so far.

I would think its not too hard to strap your pack onto the stand somehow and pack both right on your back. The stands straps hold both the stand and your pack. Your gonna have to take the stand off your back to use it so put the pack on to climb the tree then.

Thats what I would do.

I use mostly chain-ons and hunt from the ground so its not an issue.

However I bought a very cool combo back pack/fanny pack made by Field Line at Walmarts a few weeks ago. The 2 can zip together for a large pack or you can unzip them and use just the back pack or just the fanny pack. I keep most of my small stuff: gloves, calls, rope, licence, etc in the fanny pack part and my extra layer and additional hat in the larger back pack.

$31 tax included.

The coolest thing about this pack is it has about 10 straps all over it to attach addition stuff to the outside. I use them to store a folding stool, a tree umbrella, and some burlap too.

Sweet pack for $31...!!!
