Hurrican Relief Supplies?

I'm just wondering if any of you are planning on donating supplies or money for the Hurricane victims? The American Red Cross has chapters all over that will deliver the supplies. Our office is donating supplies and hopefully the company will also match any money donated as they did with the Tsunami victims.

I plan on it, won't be much,. but you can bet every little bit will help. I heard on the radio this morning that the RED CROSS was in need of cash more than anything else. I donate every year to the RED CROSS through the United Way campaign here at work. They are a good cause, and do way more than just disaster releif, but seems like that's the only time you hear about them.

Re: Hurrican Relief Supplies?

We loaded up 2 pickups yesterday from Sam's and Costco with all kinds of stuff: diapers, formula, some clothes, water, canned food, bags of rice, beans. I think some people plan on going and gettin some toys for the kids too.

A lot of these people lost everything except the clothes on their backs. Imagine how it would feel to lose everything and not even be able to go back to where your house was for a couple months at least. Take the time and make a donation to the Red Cross ...

We will be cooking for the 200+ evacuees that are staying at our church. They are expecting about 200 more to arrive by week's end. All the area churches are taking turns providing meals. Looks like we will be doing this for a very long time.
