ruttinbuc Posted September 1, 2005 Report Share Posted September 1, 2005 I just went out to my covered boat to get a river map set I keep there only to find that someone helped themself to a couple tackle boxes and some safety gear. A digital scale, spot light and some rod holders are also gone. One tackle box was full of hand made spoons and lures that I can never replace. Just one time I would like to catch the SCUM in the act. It may be my own fault to leave this stuff, but it takes balls to just come and undo the snaps on the boat and take what they want and then re-snap the cover in place. I called the cops and they told me to write down what was stolen and bring it down to the station tomorrow. There have been a few reports of delinquency in the neighborhood. Was the boat ina barn or shed? if so homeowners will cover it if the building is issured if it was in your driveway or yard I doubt they will do anything on it. Im with you though I would love to just catch the scum once and then shoot em....leave em there for the next scum to find as an example. I have zero respect for any thief. [/ QUOTE ] I have a stealth cam that I was just going to set up so it "flashes" when someone comes into the zone and hopefully makes them split. It takes lousy pictures. Think most companies you have to have additional policies or riders for atvs, watercrafts, and etc; whether they are in the garage or not. I know the feeling 3 weeks ago some jack*** broke in my garge took all my air tools, welder,dewalt miter saw the total take $3700.00. The funny part was I just bought new brake shoes, spark plugs oil filter,wipe blades they took them as well. So I call the auto parts store were I got them from to keep a eye out for the idot that took them. Sure as **** he tryed to return them. Police were called he was given a ticket for sole goods that was it because he said he got them from someone.
