ParsonsOutdoors
Re: pa hunters We do most of our hunting and filming in Pennsylvania. Beaver County mostly with some other hunts in Bedford and Clarion. The outlook looks pretty good this year as far as bucks are concerned. Does are another story in the central part of the state. LeafWiper
Re: pa hunters Finally got registered for the forums. I live in York, PA and do a little bit of hunting on a 95 acre farm in the Dover area, but try and do most hunting at our family farm in Juniata, PA. We have been seeing an abnormally high amount of bucks this year with the trail cameras, I just hope they are still around come October 1st. Good luck fellow PA residents
Strut10
Re: pa hunters I do almost all my hunting in Indiana Co. I have seen jack squat for bucks this summer. The few that I have seen have all been spikes, 3 points or 4 points. Not excited in the least for deer season to come.

Strut10
Re: pa hunters [ QUOTE ] what do you guys feel about this extended black bear season is some area's? its in my area this year (3C). i dont like it at all, pretty soon there are gonna be know more bears. [/ QUOTE ] I'd like to see them extend bear season in area 2D to 365 days per year. We are in no danger of running out of the rotten things here. But it wouldn't bother me a bit if we did. Been seeing just as many bear around here and actually had a young male spend the night under our deck about 2 weeks ago(inside our fenced in backyard)!!!!! A few days later I noticed claw marks and a nice chunk out of my McKenzie bear target!!!!!! Yeah, it was a male for sure!!!!

JPGS22
Re: pa hunters I'm from Centre County. The deer are good here. The people that say the deer numbers are low aren't looking in the right area's. I've been seeing a couple nice bucks this year!
Hoyt03
Re: pa hunters Life NRA, how is the deer hunting in Ft Indiantown Gap? Is it behind a fence type thing or just up there in the mountain. I was up there at memorial lake a few times this summer and saw a few turkeys. How do you go about getting a permit for there, I remember seeing something about a meeting.
browtine2
Re: pa hunters I hunt Bedford and Fulton counties. Guys say gamelands have few deer, I hunt private land and deer are plentiful in a lot of areas. A hunter is only as successful as he prepares to be. Hoyt03
Re: pa hunters As far as that prepared statement goes: I think alot about success has to deal with whether you have your private posted ground to hunt on or are forced to hunt the crowded public spots. The deer ratio on public vs private land is way outta wack now in PA. It just goes to show these people that post their ground and are not killing every doe in sight like Gary Alt wanted are now having the best times of hunting. That statement wasn't meant to offend, I guess I was just try'in to act like Confusous, I'll be more careful.
