HeviShot
We have a severe gas shortage. My town and the surrounding cities may be out of fuel by wed. They don't know when we will get any more.I work for a 911 center and it was crazy today. When we do get fuel we won't be able to afford just to ride.I 'm glad I still have a place to call home but it's going to be bad here for a while. ruttinbuc
Re: Bow Season on hold Really sorry to hear of your plight HeviShot. I hope things will start to look up for all involved in this catastrophy. Stay vigilant, my friend. Attention is best spent to do what needs to be done at the present. There will be time to bowhunt. after this hurdle.
Guest tyshe17
Re: Bow Season on hold Hevishot...where are you from? I am in ATL, GA and we had the same thing...some stations went from 2.70 to 5.00 today alone. I am planning on hunting some public land if anyone would want to talk about sharing rides PM me. Kinda a weird situation, but I still can wait to be out there. I guess this is an ok situation to say "Hunt or Bust" (the bank that is)

BowJoe
Re: Bow Season on hold God be with all of the people going through this tragedy. I know I will be donating some deer meat this year to FHFH and some local shelters. I never knew how much of a welcome sight venison is until you see the eyes of someone going through a tough time in life and they look at it like it's a bigmac with fries and a coke. We all ought to be thankful and praying for the victims of this and other tragedies. I don't mean to preach, but that is where I stand! HeviShot
Re: Bow Season on hold This was caused by panic.People heard rumors about a shortage of gas.Headlines in our local paper stated no gas shortage.I have never seen such madness as I did yesterday.People were fighting to get gas.Things have calmed down for now except for the price.my family is still conserving fuel but I'll be in the woods Mon Sept 12 I have to work 1st 2 days of opener.I only live about 9 miles fom where I hunt.
