IowaDeerHunter Posted September 1, 2005 Report Share Posted September 1, 2005 That right gas just jumped (on Tuesday from 2.53, 2.55 to 2.61, 2.68) and now in less than 24 hours it is up to 2.97!!! At 7:30 this morning it was 96.7 cents/liter ($3.10/gal) and at lunch it was $1.26/liter ($4.05/gal) at one station! Thank God I filled up this morning... A brand new bicycle. It has the bell (for road rage) , the sreamers on the handle grips, white wall tires with a card in the spooks and it even came with a basket... But shhhh! mums the word... The only economical vehicle we have is a 1985 Jeep CJ-7. It's mainly a "toy". And there's no way I would drive that joker to work cause it has no a/c and no top. I feel like it is illegal for gas to get this high in a matter of hours but what can we do? Gas was $2.61 when I went to classes in the morning and $2.97 when I came home later in the afternoon.
