Guest Bob_D
Buy what feels best to you. I have a Switchback and LOVE it. I've shot it a LOT this summer (over 3000 shots). It's not only smooth and fast, but very quiet which is the key when hunting. The Switchback was the best choice for me. You are the one that is going to have to live with the bow you buy, so you need to make the decision what is best for you.

maddhunter
Re: Picking a new bow I went with the Switchback because it had no vibration at all and no forward jump, I love it. I shot some of the ones you mentioned and all shot very well but they all had some vibration. The AR 32(Archery Reaserch) was the closest thing to a SB that I shot, even better than the Hoyt (IMO). I don't think you will be disapointed with any of them but buy what feels best to you. And in my opinion try to stay away from the split limbs. Again that's my $.02. [/ QUOTE ] Ditto! I chose the Switchback. It is so smooth and quiet. It was everything that I wanted in my hunting bow. I figured that if I was going to spend my money, why not get what I feel is the best.

Chrud
Re: Picking a new bow If you can, have all the bows setup and shoot them all. I'd be willing to bet that the Switchback would be the quietest, smoothest and fastest of them all. That is why I picked it!

BowJoe
Re: Picking a new bow I bought a Matthews FX and even though it's not one of the top of the line bows I still love it. Smooth shooting and very fast even for a meat and potatos bow.
Nosdog2
Re: Picking a new bow I had a Hoyt, Fred Bear and now a Outback. The best advice I would offer is to try and shoot all of them and base your decision on which shoots best for you. Only when you get a bow that feels good when you shoot it and is comfortable for you, will you benifit the most from your new bow.
Guest bowhunter56
Re: Picking a new bow Like others have suggested, you have to take them off the shelf and shoot them, from the list you mentioned, the martin is the only one i did not like. But you could be different. Good Luck.
Guest coop2564
Re: Picking a new bow I shot most of the ones you mentioned a month ago. The browning won out for me. But anyone of them will serve you well I'm sure. Go with you gut feeling on which one fits you best and dont look back.
