Power Restored

I finally got power back this evening. It's been out since around noon Monday thanks to Katrina. To say the least this tragic storm has been a trying time but what little damage and inconvience I've had to endure is nothing compared to many I know. All my family is OK and only had minor damage to deal with. Some friends of mine have major damage to their homes and some have lost everything. The good news is almost all are accounted for now and they survived with only one I haven't heard from that I believe left the area with his son before the storm hit.

We hear and see a lot about New Orleans and I know it's very bad there. I know people that lived there too. My parents business is there too but I don't know what condition it's in yet. The MS gulf coast looks more like an atomic bomb hit it than storm damage. There are many that haven't been accounted for yet and many who have lost everything. Please remember them and their families and those that haven't been accounted for yet in your prayers. I'll be around this weekend since we are dealing with severe gas shortages down here right now.

Glad to hear from you Rhino! Alot of my relatives live around Waynesboro, Richton and Petal, Mississippi. Glad to hear that you are o.k. We still haven't been able to get in touch with them.

preacherman....I talked to the owner of the land we lease in Port Gibson, MS and he said they won't have power for 2 to 3 weeks. It could easily be the same for other smaller cities and towns. Hope they are OK and you hear from them soon.

Thanks everybody....it's great to be back and enjoy the sweat, cool air inside my house again. grin.gif
