PAbowhunter4life
I was recently told by someone using TAP that I was on the borderline of being underspined with my arrow. I was hoping someone on here had the TAP download because I can't get it since I have Windows XP. At any rate, here's my specs: 70# weight 30" length 30" arrow (from tip of shaft to bottom of nock groove) 3 blazer vanes (total weight of 15 grains) standard GT nock and insert 100 grain screw in tips 406 grains finished weight Am I borderline? Should I switch to a lighter head to play safe?????

dogdoc
Re: Anyone with the TAP Software Care To Help??? TAP has me underspined also--I think the program likes heavy arrows. According to the Gold Tip charts I'm spined perfect--but not according to TAP. You are currently shooting 5.8 grains of arrow weight per pound of draw---I think you are just fine. As long as your arrows are shooting well you should be fine. todd
PAbowhunter4life
Re: Anyone with the TAP Software Care To Help??? I am shooting Gold Tip XT Hunter 7595's, 30" from tip to bottom of nock groove. I actually spoke with the creater of the TAP Program over on AT this morning about this and he did say it showed I was a HAIR underspined. But I do agree with you dogdoc, it seems as though TAP wants you to be way overspined, just to play safe lol. I am shooting and grouping very good with the arrows, just thought I'd get some opinions from others as well.
Tony
Re: Anyone with the TAP Software Care To Help??? thats why i use Archers Advantage.. TAP seems to run to heavy a spine.. IBO and all Bow manufacturers go by 5 grs per pound... as long as you are over this and they shoot good i wouldnt worry about it.. Shoot Strong Tony
