HeviShot
Re: new to turkey hunting, calling advise The tape Nut mention is what I got stated with. They have a whole series of tapes. If your talking about a gobble sound from a mouth call that is pretty hard.A box call or a shaker type call wold be better. slaw
Re: new to turkey hunting, calling advise If you want to hear the real thing, go to NWTF website, and you can get an explanation for each call, and what it means in turkey talk. Lumpy
Re: new to turkey hunting, calling advise I believe that Quaker Boy and HS Strut make instructional tape. You might want to try to find a tape that has real turkeys calling, ain't nothing like learning from the real thing(LOL). I would watch as many vidoes and read as many maqazines as possible, but the best advice for a new turkey hunter is to go out hunting with an experienced turkey hunter that has dozens of gobblers under his belt. Hope this helps God Bless

jbeck
Re: new to turkey hunting, calling advise Primos has a good tape. We also did an instructional tape on each call as well as how to maintain them and use them. I covered the mouth calls and box calles. Rodger Parks covered the slate and glass calls. I'm with Mountain Side Game Calls. If you would like more info on our product just PM me. As for the gobble, use a cutter call. Train you throat to gargle without water. Apply slight tounge pressure and shake your head. If you can't master that pick up a Red Wolfe gobble call. good luck.
joebobhunter4
Re: new to turkey hunting, calling advise if you have the mouth calls all you have to do is put em at the back of your mouth push your tung with the clal to the top of your mouth hold it there and say "chalk, chalk, chalk, chalk and it works great...and you dont need a gobble call...
