Guest warrior_8301
I purchased a scent blocker plus suit when it went on sale at the end of last season. What do I need to do to activate it before I use it this season? Also I have some scent free detergent but do I have to get some special detergent to wash it in? I looked at the tags, but it just has the normal washing instructions. Is that all that I have to do to it? Sorry if these questions are dumb, but I have never had a carbon suit before. Illinoisbowhunter
Re: Scent Blocker Care instructions If the detergent is specifically for washing hunting clothes then you can use it, scent blocker & scent lok both have their own detergent. Keep in mind the carbon suit is NOT to be washed continuously as it will start to break down the activated carbon after alot of washings. It is only recommend to wash the garment itself only if needed ie- covered in blood, mud. Only 2 or 3 washing are needed per season usually, depending on your climate. As for activating, throw the suit in a dryer for at least 30 min on the highest heat setting.
