Hey buckee, interested in doing a squirrel mount? What would you charge?

I don't think you are going to get one through customs and if ya ever did the darn little thing would be rotted by the time it got to buckee. grin.gif

That standing pheasant would be in danger if he was in a yard here in Kansas! Let's just say some fellas might get a little overzealous and not give him time to get off the ground! Good looking mounts.

Steve, how long does a mount take to do ?

too_

Took me a lot longer than it would a good taxidermist Mike. grin.gifblush.gif

I think it took me 3 hrs+ just to skin each one out out blush.gif

I made my own foam bodies too, by making a plaster of paris 2 part mold of the original (1 lg pheasant) and then spaying expanding foam into it.

It was quite the chore, because I had to come up with a mold release that would work, without reacting with the foam. After much trial and error, I ended up using KY jelly grin.gif. It works great.

Hey Joe, RTF walked me through step by step on mounting a squirrel and I did it! You can do it also. Just takes a little time, but don't expect a competition mount for the first one! blush.gifgrin.gif

Here's a crappy picture of the one I did.
