Do you need it to be elevated on on the ground?

Try this link http://www.deerhuntingstandplans.com/

They have some good info there that might be of use to you.

This is what I built from a old machinery crate. I just stained it last week to help protect the wood, and not yet finished doing the camo to it with black and brown spray paint. I have sat in this box for MANY hours at 0 degrees, with a heater of course tongue.gif and been comfortable for 2 people.

No plans really, just kind of drew out on paper what I wanted and built it. Built a 6X6 elevated blind. Used 2 inch square tubing for the tower section. Using a skill saw I cut grooves approximately 1/4 inch deep in the top and bottom of the shooting shelves(2 x 6s layed flat) for the plexiglass windows to slide in. Framed edges in with 2x4s around the windows, used 1 inch square for the frame around the outside shell. Put on a shingled plywood roof, then later on put ondura roofing over that. Have also since added exterior shades over the windows to keep rain off the plexiglass.

Heres mine.

4x8 all welded steel frame, OSB walls, tin roof. Just use wood vs steel and it should work well, but I would add additional studs vs. the 4' spacing I have due to the strength of steel.

My box is bolted to the lower frame.

My windows hinge up and in made from 1x4s and plexy glass. It seats 2 adults and ALL their gear and heater nicely.

i like the frame u built and dislike it...it is great if you only hunt flat ground, i don't have the choice i always hunt on uneven ground so mine is a tripod design, so the ground doesn't have to be even at all. and i am going to modiify it so i can put it standing on its own on the hillside. still your design is good and i am shure you will do good with that one. is the weight too much to handle moving it from place to place?

This ground here is not flat by any means, it is all rolling hills. I had to dig some to level it up and get it how I wanted it. Poured concrete around the legs to prevent any settling and used tie downs to keep it down. I used our tractor loader bucket with make shift forks to lift the box onto the tower. This is a permanent location.
