Wyoming doe in the freezer

Hey Guys!

Just came back from my annual Wyoming deer hunt. My new Switchback took her first deer (doe) on the opening day. I can taste her already (yum, yum)!!

The buck did not cooperate this year. Only the doe were coming out into the alfalfa fields this year. Only saw 10 buck or so and passed on two within range. Only saw one that I would have considered shooting. I believe it was because northeast Wyoming recieved great rains this summer and the vegetation is still green up in the hills. The greenest I have ever seen it and I assume the bucks are feeding up high. In the previous three years there were plenty of shooter bucks on this ranch (due to drought?).

I would love to hear from anyone else who bow hunts northeast Wyoming. What are your ideas of these changes and have you also seen the same in changing deer patterns?

As usual it was in the high 80's and low 90's!!!!!!!

Good luck to all
