Re: BIGFOOT

Funny you should mention Sasquatch! Just so happens that I am a field investigator for the Texas Bigfoot Research Center - TBRC.

http://www.texasbigfoot.com

It's getting close to that time of the year when the sightings begin to become more frequent... as scared hunters file their reports with us. I've been involved with the TBRC for two years now.... I can emphatically state... that there is some "unknown creature" that is out there, and I will invite anyone... skeptic or otherwise... to come with us on one of our field investigations!

We have BAPTISED more than one skeptic.. usually in just one night!

Re: BIGFOOT

Shaun... nothing real recent or close to Ottowa, but there were reports 2 years ago north into Quebec Province.

Other than providing THE BODY, there is substantial evidence that there is an "unknown" bi-pedal hominoid walking around out there.

If someone could get hold of that $150 million that NASA spent for 10 years on SETI - Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence.... then we could either prove or disprove their existence.

All that time and money spent by NASA never.... not once.... provided any evidence whatsoever of extra-terrestrial intelligence.

At least we have tangible evidence that there IS something there! That puts us "light years" ahead of NASA, or I should say ... the University of California at Berkley!

Re: BIGFOOT

I heard that the last "tangible" evidence was found through DNA to be hair from an American Bison, and then there was Bear hair etc.

What tangible evidence?

There has never been a body, nor skeletal remains found, or do they live forever?

By the way, I know a guy, that knows of a person, who knows a guy, who has some beach-front property near a swamp in south Arkansas he wants to sell.

It is guaranteed to be the home of the Ivory Billed Woodpecker, although there is only a 3 second, shaky video of one, and no feathers etc. have been found yet.

There is a recording of the great bird's call, but then again it may be the call of the Bigfoot.

Wake up and smell the coffee and call me a skeptical non-believer in the Bigfoot.

I also don't believe in the boogie man, ghosts, or goblins.

I also can't believe I replied on such a silly subject.

Yep.... your a "classic" non-believer! That whole business about the "buffalo" hair was nothing but a publicity stunt. The FIRST thing you do with a hair sample is look at it under a microscope! Any kid in biology class can tell the difference. All hair has certain characteristics for that specie..... It's when hair is found that DOES NOT MATCH any KNOWN SPECIE, that is when one has "credible " evidence. Since there is not a direct source to match the DNA EXACTLY, the samples can only be "compared" to known specie.

That cadre of orinthologists that journeyed into your state had funding from a college research grant. Consequently, they "had" to find something to keep the MONEY coming!

The same holds true with a video recording in Canada this past spring. Funny thing though, those people would not let any of "our" people see the film unless we PAID THEM FIRST! Consequently, it is highly suspect!

I was skeptical to, until my first encounter! Needless to say... I'm no longer skeptical! If you think this subject is "silly" ... then I cordially invite you to accompany us for a weekend field investigation... how about Fouke, Arkansas... we haven't been there in a while. I'll get one of our east Texas guys to HOLD YOUR HAND!

We have all the forensic evidence a prosecutor could need - including partial skeletal remains. The bones that have been found, do not match any known specie, same with the hair, footprints, tree damage, recorded vocalizations, odors, and sightings. Everything but the key ingredient - a body or a captured specimen! Our group, TBRC, does not advocate killing one, but there are those groups that do... and someday soon! confused.gif

Here's an interesting news clip right in your backyard!

No offense to you or your organization, but I tend to agree more with popgun on this one, don't believe it. But I try to keep more of an open mind about things.

Why don't you tell us about your "encounters"? I'd be interested in hearing about them.

[/ QUOTE ]

How about if I just give the link to the summation of our expeditions this past spring. We had a TV crew embedded with us one night and got an interesting recording, which we have a spectra-analysis.

Re: BIGFOOT

I want to believe in them.. why, I think that the idea of something that big, existing for so long, unknown, makes life/nature/science a little bit more interesting..

That said, I find it hard to believe all the places that there are now sightings.. I would have an easier time believing if the sightings were confined to an area, or part of the country. But now it seems that there are sightings in almost to many spots. If they are that wide spread, someone would get proof. But if they were confined to some remote area, maybe a small group could exist more un-noticed..

That said, I hope they do exist, and that someone gets proof..

The big question is, If you saw one, would you shoot it? I wouldn't, fearing I would shoot some hoaxer in a costume. But that also puts you in a catch 22, If you tell people you saw one, they would say why didn't you shoot it.. They wouldn't belive ya..

Re: BIGFOOT

Strange Occurrences:

One of my friends, who wishes to remain anonymous, has a friend, who has an uncle, who has a friend, who also wishes to remain anonymous, told the following story; and I have no reason to believe it is not true:

He was hunting squirrel one day in the swamp bottoms of eastern_____________(fill in with State of choice), when he observed the faint odor of something that appeared to be burning.

Instead of sticking with his squirrel hunting plans, he became obsessed with finding the source of this faint but familiar odor.

He sniffed around the biggest part of the morning, and around midday he came to a huge tree.

This tree had a hole in it the size of a basketball, about eight feet up the trunk.

Now he stood only six foot and eight inches tall and could not look in this hole, no matter how intrigued he was by the now sweet odor emitting from it.

In desperation, he finally pulled up a log that he could stand on, and slowly and quietly poked his head through that hole.

There seemed to be an ever so slight bit of light at the bottom of this hollow tree, and he soon recognized that the tree was full of little elves; busy as little bees, making cookies.

He slowly crept away and returned later with witnesses, but alas, the elves were gone, and had taken all their possessions with them.

There was not one little pot or pan, or even a tiny spoon left as evidence.

He swears that this story is true.
