Guest Xen
Re: BIGFOOT sometims you just gotta have faith... i guess. i've hunted all my life, i do a lot of moving around before daylight and after dark, get myself far up on the mountain chasing deer or elk, and come out with a flashlight. even with all that experience, you mind tends to run a little when it's dark and you're in the mountains. i've had cougars jump up less than 5 feet away from me, and thank god, run away. deer, elk, even a little rabbit make a lot of noise and get your heart pumping when it's pitch black in the woods. what happens when a bigfoot gets old and dies? even if animals ate the remains, wouldn't that leave a really large human shaped skeleton lying around? i see deer, elk, moose, cow, etc remains all the time, never have found a human body. the bigfoot thing reminds me of scout camps where one kid runs off and makes noises and the others chase him down with the new scouts, telling them that there is some wild animal out there. and of course, you can't use flashlights, because that'll just scare him off... i'm sure people see all kinds of things in the woods, but i'll agree with the statement that with all of the idiots out there during hunting season, i can't believe one hasn't been shot yet. glad i haven't seen anybody say "well, if you need proof of bigfoot, you must need proof of God as well" one thing i will say tho, have you ever looked up at the stars? i mean really looked? our sun is supposed to be nothing more than another star, it's just really close by comparison. what if each star out there was like another sun? wouldn't it be a big waste if there weren't aliens? and hey, don't you guys go dissing santa claus either. i'll bet there are more reports of mysterious presents under the tree, or sleigh bell sounds on christmas eve, or even of deer droppings on the roof than there are bigfoot sightings. jdickey
Re: BIGFOOT Xen... to answer one of your questions about the skeletal remains, there are several answers but the most prevalent is the fact that other than VOLUNTEER RESEARCHERS... Nobody Looks for Bigfoot Remains A good example was the fairly recent discovery of the Asian WOOD APE! No serious work has ever been done to look for remains of surviving wood apes in areas where they are rumored to reside. No one should expect remains of such an elusive species to be found, collected and identified without some effort. Very few remains of ancient wood apes have ever been found in Asia, where they were much more abundant. Millions of gigantos (a branch of the wood ape line) lived and died in Asia over the ages. All the remaining physical evidence we have of them could fit into a few shoe boxes. Fossils of any land animal are very rare. Remains do not become fossilized very often, but unless that happens, all the remains will, in time, become completely reabsorbed into the ecosystem. There would be remains of animals everywhere if remains were not naturally recycled, including bones and teeth. Fossils or preserved bones of wood apes may exist in the Americas, but they will be exceedingly rare, because these animals are rare to begin with, and only a tiny fraction of that population will die in locations and soils that will preserve bones somehow. Odds are slim at best that any bones (which are normally fragmentary) will be found, collected and identified unless a focused effort is made to look for them. Until efforts are made in many places, over a long period of time, no one should be scratching their head wondering why "we" don't have any physical remains. Surprisingly, many reports come in are from "experienced hunters", in a few cases from law enforcement officers, and veteran soldiers. As far as our group is concerned determining the credibility of the witnesses is the biggest single challenge that we face. We try to do face to face interviews when possible, but many are also done by phone. Those of us who do the interviews, are for the most part, dealing with the public on a daily basis, so we have methods of interviewing individuals that usually determines the validity of that witness! Again, one of the major problems with the evidence that has been gathered, is that there is not a centralized location or group that is responsible for gathering that evidence so that the "public" can see for themselves, what is there. All kinds of bizzare happenings that cannot be explained - such as gates to dog pens being ripped from hinges and the gate bent almost double, blood trails that are 5 to 6 feet off the ground of hogs or deer shot by hunters, the list goes on! With the advent of the opening of deer/elk season coming or underway... the signtings will begin to pick up again.... and each encounter brings us a little closer! Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: BIGFOOT [ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] I assume those are some type of reproduction? The one on the left is a little too human looking for comfort! Reminds me of a show I saw on Discovery Channel about a supposed human/chimpanze hybrid. Turns out the chimp was just that, a chimp. But it had been taught to walk upright and had several other very human mannerisms about it. It really weirded me out watching videos of that chimp walking erect! Oddly disturbing. Bow Hunter Derek
Re: BIGFOOT That blond one is really Willy Nelson. You can't try to pull that one over on us. I have definate proof that there is no such thing as Big Foot. The proof. If their were a Big Foot, I'd NEVER go in the woods hunting. So, since I do not hesitate to go into the woods, in any part of the country, to hunt, I know without any doubt there is not an never will be a Big Foot. All the proof you could ever need right there. I'm with my buddy J.B. on this one.
Guest Andrea
Re: BIGFOOT For those of you older than 30: do you remember the movie "The Legend of Boggy Creek"????? It was a very low-budget documentary type movie set in the Ozark hills about Big Foot. At the time......it scared the poop outta me. I bought it on dvd just for sentimental reasons and watching it NOW..........I see how lame and cheesy it is. Kinda funny almost. Oh but VERY SCARY when I first saw it. Think I slept with my parents a couple of nights afterwards.

Bow Hunter Derek
Re: BIGFOOT J.B., I'm sure that somewhere on the internet you can track thier migration patterns. Come on, everything on the internet is true. I just ran a search and in the highly accredited UFO Round UP, Volume 5, Number 36, it clearly refers to the great Bigfoot Migration of 1969. Apparently, 2000 was also supposed to be the Year of the Sasquatch. I remember it like it was yesterday, or maybe not. The press seemed to skip over that one. If you can Google it, it has to be true. Do your homework J.B.

longislandhunter
Re: BIGFOOT I have no problem believing that there is some sort of undiscovered creature that exists in certain regions. From time to time scientists find specimens of a species that they had previously thought to be extinct. What makes this any different? I personally would not want to run into one, gun in hand or not, but I can at least entertain the idea that they are out there.
