NYBUCK
Yesterday I went to Dicks and picked up three 16' climbing sticks for $29 a piece. I have two already but I want to get to 20' so I bought an extra one. Now I will have 4 of them at 20'. I love these things, they are so easy to use. I just have to figure how to keep the theives from stealing them.
snapper
Re: Dicks Sporting Goods [ QUOTE ] I just have to figure how to keep the theives from stealing them. [/ QUOTE ] Shame...but there is no way other than taking it with you everytime to be sure someone won't steal them. Congrats on your purchases...stick ladders are a great, easy way to get up to 20' safely.

Guest Squirrelbuster
Re: Dicks Sporting Goods To start, you can drill a hole through each part that connects and padlock them together, but that would only help deter thieves. Next you will have to figure out how to lock it to a tree. This might be able to be done by putting a chain around the ladder and the tree and then pad locking that too. Hope this helps. Master_Chief
Re: Dicks Sporting Goods Good deal. Guess you could run a power cord to them and put the ground wire in the ground. Then sit back and watch the light show when they try and steal them.
NYBUCK
Re: Dicks Sporting Goods [ QUOTE ] Cool...I guess you can never have too many sticks, huh? [/ QUOTE ] That is true. The older and fatter I get the harder it gets to climb trees. These sticks make it very easy.

I lost three stands last year two ladder stands and one hang on with climbing sticks. This year I have locks on all stands and cables on climbing sticks.
