Guest ronin
Re: Who makes Cabela\'s Alaskan scoopes? The 52 objective is somewhat odd. See how that matches other MFR's in the catalog.
Reloader
Re: Who makes Cabela\'s Alaskan scoopes? I have a cabelas Pine Ridge on my .22 bolt and am very pleased with it so far. Not sure who makes them though. Can't find any makers marks on mine other than the Cabelas Brand.

AJ
Re: Who makes Cabela\'s Alaskan scoopes? They are made by a Japanese optics company. I don't know the exact name of the company. Some on the net say its Simmons or Tasco, wrong, neither of them are Japanese. They are located in the Phillipines and Korea. I have had an Alaskan Guide for a quite a while now on my 300 Wby Mag. It has not moved zero in over 4 years. I take it out once a year and it will still print a tiny group in the same place it always has. Mine is the 4.5-14x44mm scope. I put another AG scope on a custom 300 RUM. It was the 6.5-20x44 though. I shot a few rounds from that gun at 400 yards and it worked flawlessly. Its on my buddies elk gun. I have heard a lot of horror storries about the Pine Ridge scopes though. I would not put them on anything with stout recoil. The Alaskan Guide on the other hand, I highly recommend. JimT
Re: Who makes Cabela\'s Alaskan scoopes? I am not suprised they would not tell you. I need a new vital for my 3d deer, that they no longer carry. The would not tell me who made it. That was my first dissapointing encounter with Cabelas, and I will never by another Cabelas 3d target from them because of it.....

wtnhunt
Re: Who makes Cabela\'s Alaskan scoopes? Cabelas uses several manufacturers for different products. Their sst arrows are manufactured by tru flite. They sell a rangefinder with the cabelas name on it made by bushnell. Would be interesting to know who makes their Alaskan guide scopes.
