Wow...we are up to the letter "O" for hurricanes/storms.

Ophelia is on the east coast of FL with 50 mph winds and she is stationary. Hope she goes north.

Do ya think we'll get thru the entire alphabet???

If not...wonder what letter we'll get to???

I am guessing since it's only the first week of September and the season won't be over til the end of November......we will at LEAST get to letter "T".

Wagers anyone?? grin.gifgrin.gif

Re: Go thru the alphabet????

The modern record of the most hurricanes in a single year is 19, set in 1995. The year Opal hit our area here in FL. The season ended with Hurricane Tanya.

If we go past "Wilma" this year they will jump over to the Greek alphabet. Starting with Alpha, Beta and so on. cool.gif
