Guest CTJohnB
Hey all , I was wondering do Deer take the same trails in the morning as they do at night. and also how late is too late to put a permanent ladder stand in the woods before hunting starts? Thanks
JimT
Re: Deer Trails I try to get my stands out a few weeks in advance. As far as trails go, this could vary widely. I got several pics on a Stealth cam last summer, and the deer were traveling the trail in the same direction in every picture. I noticed this right off. They were making a loop it would seem. Tom2008
Re: Deer Trails Deer usually use the same trails all the time at certain times of the day. I also usually put out a my tree stands a couple weeks before the season starts.
Guest bowhunterforlife
Re: Deer Trails depends on the terrain u hunt ive had deer go past me in the morning bed down and come past me again during lunch.Scouting an area is the key. Putting stands up in advance is nice but not always suitable. i shoot most of my bucks from a stand i hung the day before
ODH
Re: Deer Trails Trails that the deer use may vary by what time of the day it is. I have 2 nice trails by 1 of my stands, but the deer don't always use it. I have my stands already setup for the season.
