IowaDeerHunter
Re: Afterburner Light Do these work pretty well VH? Do they just light up your sights? Don't mean to change your post here but I was always wondering about these and if someone has one to sell you then they can tell me about it. Bow Hunter Derek
Re: Afterburner Light Make sure you "blacken" out the lens on the light. They are WAY too bright. The best thing to do is take some type of dark paint and paint completely over the lens. Then slowly scratch the paint off little by little until you get exactly the glow you want. I think J.B.'s nail polish approach would accomplish the same thing. I'm just a little concerned why a single guy like J.B. is stocking up on nail polish.??? If you don't blacken out the lens, two things will happen. First your pins will be so bright they will have a hallow effect and you won't be able to see beyond them to your target in very low light. Secondly, they light up so bright, that deer will litterally pick you out of the tree when you turn it on (a voice of experience here).
