mainebuck
Re: peep sight I tried shooting my bow without one this summer. I loved the speed and feel of the bow without, but I didn't have enough time to get used to it before hunting season. I'll probably try it again in the off season. jbeck
Re: peep sight What is your max. shooting range. I usually take mine and drill it out to 3/16 of an inch. I also shoot with both eyes open, so it never bothered me. I really don't know how it will effect down range accuracy because I've always used one. But I will be watching this post to see what the other guys say.

Guest bowhunter56
Re: peep sight Leave it on, why start messing with things this close to the season, i have seen many customers where i work finally shoot well by putting a peep on, it's one more thing to make you shoot consistently. BowJoe
Re: peep sight If a peep bothers you so much at dusk than practice what my buddy does. Practice this daily and soon you will be able to shoot using your left eye as a guide at dusk. You say you can see your pins through the peep so just barely open the left eye and when you adjust your bow to the target, move your head not your eyes. Try it shooting at your target and see how off you would be. You'll be surprised at how accurate you are. Works for me and my buddy.
