JimT
Re: Need Help on Scope Selection That will work...That or a Burris FFII would be a good choice also. Check out Natchezss.com, as they sometimes have good prices.
snapper
Re: Need Help on Scope Selection [ QUOTE ] Check out Natchezss.com, as they sometimes have good prices. [/ QUOTE ] LOL, do you think they will accept a Cabelas gift certificate? The Bushnell 3200 would be a good choice...also a Nikon Buckmaster. However, if it were me...I'd look at the gift certificate as free money and any scope I pick up is $200 off. I'd look at some higher end scopes...even if I shell out $200 cash...I'd still walk out of there with a $400 scope that I got for 1/2 off. Just my opinion! 7th
Re: Need Help on Scope Selection Snapper, I was thinking the same thing about them taking it? If you are close to one of there stores then take a ride and look at them. I would like to get a good look at one of the new Simmons, I have over 12 of there old scopes and will be looking to get a new one for some new rifles coming into my home soon. I have one of the old Simmons on my 3 Mag's and 12 ga slug gun, so I don't think they are recoil shy. Outside of scopes that have been given to me, all others are Simmons. We have 3 Leupols on my team: 2 on M-24's and the other on a M-82 (.308 and .50 Cals) With my M-24. I have replaced my scope 1 time and looking at the log it only had 133 rounds under it and I am not happy with it now. Maby it is just me but I have seen more of them blow up and go bad then anything but a trashco. Frank.
TexasDeerHunter
Re: Need Help on Scope Selection I would recomend the Leupold VX-1, in a 3-9x40. I have tried several scopes, and Leupold is all I use now.

Guest La_Biologist
Re: Need Help on Scope Selection I would have to agree with Snapper and Tx deer hunter, for about $300 you can get a Leupold Vx-II 3-9x40. These are great scopes that last.
johnf
Re: Need Help on Scope Selection I would look at the leupold that was already mentioned or the Niko Buckmaster.
wtnhunt
Re: Need Help on Scope Selection Put a nikon buckmaster 3-9x40 on the wifes .243 and am pretty happy with it. The 2004 models should be on clearance at cabelas if they have any left. Wal mart had them for $149, marked down from $200. The 2005 model is redesigned and they had to clearance the old ones Simmons Aetecs and 44 mags are also good scopes for the money.
