Below are the costs for a non-resident hunting license necessary for turkey hunting. $59.00 for Hunting License $118.00 for Big Game License for a total of $177.00 for an annual license. However, Georgia also offers 1-day and 7-day hunting licenses for $5.50 and $25.00, respectively. In addition, you will need the following, as appropriate: $25.00 for Primitive Weapons License (bow, muzzleloader) $73.00 for a WMA License The turkey season is open from March 26-May 15, 2005, statewide. The limit is 3 gobblers. Harvesting of hens is prohibited. Legal weapons: Shotguns with No. 2 or smaller shot (max. 3 shells). Any muzzleloading firearm (scope legal). Crossbow, longbow, recurve bow, compound bow. Decoys are legal. Orange clothing is not required. Visit www.gohuntgeorgia.com for additional information.
