BuckDiesel Posted October 31, 2004 Report Share Posted October 31, 2004 OK, need some help, I've had a bow in the past but never hunted with it..I know a lot of people have different ideas of what should be the best bow for hunting, I'm going to buy a bow after the new year and would like you good folks opinion. [/ QUOTE ] I have done the same thing! Had a bow years ago and never hunted with it! Best thing you can do is shoot all the different bows out there and find out which one fits you best! Go try out a hoyt you wont have to waste your time trying other brands In all seriousness though pick a bow thats fits you best. Some of the new hoyts have a smaller grip and others dont. Its little things like this that makes the bow more comfortable to fit the individual. Dont just try brands try different models of the brands if you can. Compared to what an average bow use to cost, you can get a lot of bang for the buck now and days. I agree with what everyone else says. Go, shoot a few different brands and pick which one you like. Don't worry about what any of the video stars are shooting. I love my High Country and I chose it over Mathews and a few other brands as well because I am not a big fan of the short axle to axle bows out today.
