AJ
For hunting what type of animal?
AJ
Re: If money was no object....? For those critters, I would have to take a hard look at Melvin Forbes' Ultra Light Arms Model 28 topped with a Swarovski AH 4-12x50 sitting on top. It would be chambered in .338 Win Mag. Another possibility would be the Model 28 Short as above but chambered in 325 WSM. Either will handle any big game I want to hunt and will be a breeze to carry. It would weigh in about 6 pounds with scope.

njbowhntr
Re: If money was no object....? All I know is that it would be chambered in the 7mm STW. As for parts, well that is a long story within itself. It would defintaly be a Remington 700 Action, Jewell trigger, Hart Barrel, probably a McMillian stock, and I am not really sure how I would put the bolt together off the top of my head. But the work would probably be done by Hart.

wtnhunt
Re: If money was no object....? Not a custom, but just because I really want one I want and will eventually buy a BAR high grade in 30-06. Topped with a swarovski or zeiss scope. I don't think you will find a nicer one.
wtnhunt
Re: If money was no object....? That is pretty nice AJ, still like the 30-06 version of the high grade. About how much does the one of one million commemorative list for?
AJ
Re: If money was no object....? You can find one of the Special Edition 1 of 500 commemorative BAR guns for $1600 or so. They are decent looking but not anywhere near what this gun is. The one in the link above does not have a "list" price. It will probably be auctioned off. Since it is a special one of a kind gun, with serial number BAR1000000, it will fetch a very high premium. I would estimate it going for well over $50K. wtnhunt
Re: If money was no object....? Yeah, that is well out of my price range. The bar high grades had listed when I checked for around $1600 too if I remember right, I wrote it down somewhere after I searched and finally found a place I could order one on the internet. Got a 2003 catalog with them in it, do you know if they are still producing the high grades with the deer and the elk and moose scenes AJ. AJ
Re: If money was no object....? I can't say for sure. Their web site is the worst at finding anything other than the stuff they are pushing. I would suggest e-mailing Browning and asking them directly. Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: If money was no object....? Wow, that's a tuffy. I'd probably go with a Blazer with the interchangable barrels. That way I could take a single rifle for everything from badgers to buffalo. Top each barrel off with the appropriate Swarovski scope and I'd be set. TexasDeerHunter
Re: If money was no object....? Remington 700 from the custom shop. Walnut satin finshed stock , 22in bbl , .308 cal. Topped off with Leupold rings and bases and a Leupold VX-3 scope in 4-12x40. Guess I'm a little conservative, but I have owned and shot many different brands and calibers and think this would do everything I need. Reloader
Re: If money was no object....? Lazeroni custom with all the extra features including muzzel brake, chambered in their Warbird (.308 long magnum). Topped with swarovski or zeiss variable much like AJ's. bearcat
Re: If money was no object....? I would probably have Lex Webernick of Rifles Inc. build me a .300 Ultra Mag on a model 700 action. Or David Miller build me one of his Long Range "Marksman" coues deer rifles. The caliber would also be .300 Rem. Ultra. Mag. These rifles also have some awesome looking Laminated wood Stocks. The scope would be a High end model Swarovski, Kahles, Leupold, Nikon in a 4.5x14x40 mm .
