Loomis gone next year??

It sounds to me like Robbie might not be crew chief next year, which, at this point, I say don't let the door hit you on the way out. I used to defend him when people would complain, but now, I mean, Jeff qualifies good, practices good, and the car acts like it is in reverse on race day. I mean, something is seriously not hitting on all cylinders at the 24/48 shop. One of my co-workers/fellow #24 fan said he heard on ESPN radio Wednesday that Loomis was out, I couldn't find anything on it until tonight. I wonder who would replace him, promote from within, or hire from outside. I say get "Fatback" McSwain, but I don't see that one happening. Maybe they can lure Evernham back, I wonder if that would be a conflict of interests, Dodge team owner/Chevrolet crew chief. grin.gifconfused.gif

Re: Loomis gone next year??

I have to agree with slugshooter on this one,,,Jeff qualify's the car into great starting positions and during the race Loomis just seems to make all of the wrong calls......that really cost Jeff,,and we all know from past experience that Jeff knows how to communicate what the car is doing during a race,,so I don't think it's Jeff giving the wrong info.....

Yep, I would say it's time for Robbie to move on.....

As for who would make a good replacement,,your guess is as good as mine.....NO CLUE..
