elkoholic
A Florida man who mistakenly shot his hunting guide pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and agreed to pay the man's medical expenses. David W. Williams, 38, entered the plea Friday on negligent criminal endangerment charges. He was also fined $1,065.00. Williams shot J.C. Davis, 25, in the arm after mistaking him and another man who approached him on horseback in the dark as wolves. Davis will likely need repeated surgeries and possibly a new elbow. This happened in Montana in the Paradise Valley.

huntinsonovagun
Re: so you want to be a guide Feel sorry for both guys, but the shooter should have made more sure of his target.
HuntingInMaine
Re: so you want to be a guide Sounds like someone was scared of being in the woods after dark. I don't see how you could mistake a couple men on horses for wolves, that's a HUGE size difference!
huntn4bucks
Re: so you want to be a guide Not to take away from the man's negligence but I don't think I would be riding a 4-legged animal in the woods during hunting season after dark anyways. Palssonater
Re: so you want to be a guide those "sound shots" are always bad ones to take! some people are incredibly stupid and should never handle loaded firearms.

archerjg
Re: so you want to be a guide At least the man will get his medical bills paid the guy should have paid more attention nad instead of shooting at the sound should have made sure of his target.
