HarvDog
I'm having no luck finding fully jacketed ammo at Cabelas. Any other suggestions?

hangunnr
Re: Where online to buy ammo? Yeah I know....... Darn "puter is having conniptions..... Let's try again.... Midway USA has quite a selection of .357 mag ammunition. While there, you may also want to check out their selection of .38 special ammo. hangunnr
HarvDog
Re: Where online to buy ammo? So...you think I should just stick with 38s for the range. That's the only real reason I'm looking for FMJ. The indoor range I just went shooting at requires them.
hangunnr
Re: Where online to buy ammo? For informal shooting I'd shoot .38 specials for sure. Just be sure to brush out the cylinder charge holes when switching back to magnum loads. You may find extraction of the longer mag cases to be difficult if you don't. .38 special ammo is generally a whole lot cheaper and easier on the gun than the full house loads. If you don't have plans to reload, the CCI Blazer line of ammo is hard to beat. They offer a 125gr FMJ I believe... There are many ranges that mandate FMJ or totally encapsulated (electroplated) bullets. The plated bullets can usually be had a little cheaper than the FMJ stuff if you can find them. hangunnr
