If you go to Minolta's web site in the link there you can get all the info you could want about the Z5. They just released the Z6 a couple weeks ago also.. you might want to check it out!? You can find the Z5 online for around $350.00 or so. Once they get the crops out around here I'll show you what the 12X optical zoom will do.. I just turned the camera on & shot these & did nothing to any of the manual settings!? This is at full wide angle, no zoom. This is at 12X zoom. Here is 12X optical + 2X digital. I went to my sisters place yesterday & I thought.. the elevator would make for a good distant target to shoot! But, I forgot to set the camera for the conditions!? The camera does however take great pictures, you just have to be smarter than the camera & remember to set it before you take any! lol I picked up the adapter tube & a couple filter for it as well, a HOYA UV/HAZE & a HOYA CIRCULAR POLARIZING. Here are a couple samples just in case you missed them the first time I posted them!? The buck is at about 40-50 yards away & the pic is about 30% the size of the original. Later, Phil B.
