Guest gfourhunter Posted September 11, 2005 Report Share Posted September 11, 2005 was over at my father-in-laws yesterday and he was looking great. been fighting lung cancer for over a year. things went bad today. after my sones football game went to see my wifes dad and he started to breath really bad. my son went to his friends house so he didnt know what was going on. hes papaws little budy. all of a suden he passed out. we called hospis in and they came over fast. they said that he could hear us but couldnt respond. i then knew i was about to do the hardest thing in my life that i dont EVER want to do again. went and picked my sone up and told him he needs to say his goodbys to papaw. this is really hard guys so bear with me. dalton my sone took it good till we pulled onto the drive. never in my life have i had a child hold me so tight. dalton fell to mud in my arms. this 10 year old boy turned into a man today. he said his goodbys and lost his mind." this is killing me" . 5 houres ago the good lord took him to a better place, pain free. i explained this to my sone and he really understands. he is one heck of a man. what im asking of you all at real tree is a moment of scilence and a word of prayer. you all are great hear and thanks for letting me vent. gfourhunter troy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My Dad and my son have been buddies and hunting buddies since he was 4. Things are going well for now. I have thought often of the time coming that you just experienced. I hope and pray we do as well as you and your son have. Father in Heaven, we celebrate for and are jealous of those that are in your presence experiencing Your love.
