Turkeygirl
At Walmart the other day I goto n clearance for $5 a packet of HiViz Flash Point Front sights for the front bead of the shotgun. I think it'll work alot better on my shotgun as I currently have a small white bead on it that was on it, then there is a small bronze type of bead in the middle of the barrel. Anyway the packet has 2 round sights and then 6 different sized triangular sights. Does anyone use or have these sights? Does anyone have any suggestions on whether the round or triangular would work best for small game/turkey?

JimT
Re: HiViz shotgun sights I use the HiViz front and rear site for turkey and like them. $5.00 is cheap. I think they are fine for small game, but remember you point on flying critters not aim.
too_pointer
Re: HiViz shotgun sights Ruth, I didn't replace my frontsight, just have a snap-on magnetic one that fits behind the bead. I like it well, and it came in green and red. I don't have any other beads behind that on my barrel. sight Mike
Turkeygirl
Re: HiViz shotgun sights Well rightn ow I'm having a pain trying to unscrew the bead. The little white bead part came off but the metal screw is in there really good. Any suggestions? I sure don't want to "wreck" my gun! too_pointer
Re: HiViz shotgun sights Do you have a vent rib on your barrel ? If you do, buy the snap on I suggested, and forget about the bead. too_
AJ
Re: HiViz shotgun sights TG, What kind of shotgun do you have? Not all front beads are threaded. Some are just pressed fit. It sounds like you have already wrecked the bead. Grab it with pliers and try to unscrew. If it just spins and does not come out, it is a press fit and you just yank it out. As to which sight will work best, it depends on where the gun shoots. The larger the front sight is the lower the POI will be. I prefer the smallest front sight I can get. Like Jim said, if you find yourself looking at the glowing sight instead of the target, get rid of it. Do not aim at moving targets, point at them.
