oo_buck
Re: Son\'s 1st touchdown [ QUOTE ] I can't believe they haven't caught any flack over calling a team the "midgets". [/ QUOTE ] The team name for my grade school was the "Plainville Midgets" The mascot on team shirts was the little Purdue man in Purple and Gold..... Pretty sharp I must say.... Other local teams of that time were "Bulldogs", "Owls", and "Rockets" Go Midgets!....
HarvDog
Re: Son\'s 1st touchdown [ QUOTE ] I will tell him. I think I was more excited than he was. He was real non-chalant about it. You know...no big deal. "That's what I'm supposed to do Mom." ( He's modest, just like me. ) [/ QUOTE ] That's definitely cool. Occasionally, we'll pull out videos of my son running the ball back about 10 - 12 years ago. Great memories!

He will teach the QB to run from him. [/ QUOTE ] HA HA!!! How old is he??? We just found out that my oldest son ( 12 yrs. old) will get his first chance to run the ball this season too. So far...neither have incurred any penalties. That's okay Dad......just means he's " makin the sacrifice" for the team. ( As I have heard it put by some of the dads around the field)

preacherman
Re: Son\'s 1st touchdown Congratulations to your son! Tell him to keep that ball tucked away tight and his eyes focused on the end zone!
superguide
Re: Son\'s 1st touchdown Ty had his first game yesterday-they whipped Kindersley 30-6. He got in a few carries and took one good whack from a D-man about 100 lbs heavier than him lol.
IowaDeerHunter
Re: Son\'s 1st touchdown Congrats to your son. I remember my first touchdown. And I play O and D line. BUt I intercepted the ball off of the line and took it back 35 yards for the score.
