slugshooter
You'll find that the biggest answer you will see on here regarding that subject is shoot what worls best out of your gun. The advantage of Powerbelts is that you don't need a sabot around the bullet to create the gas seal needed to propel the bullet, some guys on here swear by them and some swear at them, shoot what works best for you. I use Powerbelts cause they came with my CVA package I have.
robk
Re: What\'s the difference!!! first what style of muzzle loader are you shooting and that wil ehlp us to help you. usually patch and ball are for the older guns like the side cocks and usually have a slow rate of twist in the barrel the next are the older style of inline and they may have a quicker twist but will work better with a conical or buffalo bullet and fort he newer in lines you will find bullets like the powerbelts will work just fine for you. i myself am using the 245 grain powerbelts with great success and createing great groups. also you need to make sure your shooting from a clean barrel though in hunting i know i can shoot a 2nd bullet and hit the same as my first bullet. i prefer the powerbelts over the saboted bullets due tot he ease you can load them and they don't create a mess with build up like the saboted do. also the bullet design makes it easier for the bullet to use the twist and stabilize the bullet quicker than with a saboted bullet. rob k
Guest RandyWakeman
Re: What\'s the difference!!! Powerbelts are conicals. If they are not bore sized, then they are saboted to take up windage in the bore.
