AvonLKHunter
I have found that you can wash all your hunting cloths with ALL free and clear, it comes in a white bottle and you can get it at Walmart for about $3-$4 dollars a bottle and you get about 40 loads. Alot cheaper than any hunting product and leaves no scent on your cloths. JIM

buckee
Re: DETERGENT FOR WASHING YOUR HUNTING CLOTHS!!! "No dyes and no perfumes", but that doesn't mean scent free. Soap still has a scent of it's own, without the added perfumes. And what about UV brighteners....?. You don't want them in a detergent either. Makes you glow in the dark to a deer. I have found plain old baking soda to do an excellent job of making my hunting cloths scent free and UV brightener free.

[/ QUOTE ] Yes sir. There are "scent free" products made and there are "scent free" products made by outdoor companies specifically for hunters. I've seen way too many "off brand" products that claim scent free and aren't made for hunters.

This time of the year, everything gets washed in it, so the washer isn't contaminated.

wtnhunt
Re: DETERGENT FOR WASHING YOUR HUNTING CLOTHS!!! Sportswash is cheap enough and works well. There are others out there too that are pretty inexpensive. Have used baking soda for washing some of my clothes and that also works. MUDRUNNER
Re: DETERGENT FOR WASHING YOUR HUNTING CLOTHS!!! I use Sport Wash too.The price is pretty good for as many loads as you get out of a bottle. After they are washed I dry them with fresh earth dryer sheets and throw them in a rubbermaid. Adjam5
Re: DETERGENT FOR WASHING YOUR HUNTING CLOTHS!!! I like the sportwash also. MY wife complains when I use the dirt scented stuff(Knight and Hale) in the washing machine. So I do the wash when she is gone and I let her figure it out That sportwash works great on MANY other things also. If you have kids and pets...sometimes things get on the carpet that are not supposed to be there(barf, pee,doo doo ect). The sportwash works great in removing those stains and smells. My wife has let other mommys know too about the capabilities of sportwash. Good Product. They(ATSKO) make a good boot waterproofer also. Snow Seal its called, gotta heat up the boot with a blow dryer and rub the waxy stuff in the leather. It works REAL good.
HarvDog
Re: DETERGENT FOR WASHING YOUR HUNTING CLOTHS!!! Before I wash my hunting stuff, I run an empty load with baking soda to eliminate all of the fresh scent detergent smells. Then my stuff goes in with HS Scent Away detergent along with my sign on top of the washer.
Tsmola
Re: DETERGENT FOR WASHING YOUR HUNTING CLOTHS!!! yeah I agree with most of the above, just because it says scent free, and it may smell like it to you as well. But I don't think their goal in making All is to fool a whitetail's nose, just a human's. I'll stick to stuff made for hunters.

FSU_Seminole
Re: DETERGENT FOR WASHING YOUR HUNTING CLOTHS!!! Sport Wash is a very good detergent, it cleans and leaves no scent. I've also been using it for many years. Baking Soda is good to, but if you hunt with carbon scent control clothes DO NOT use baking soda because it clogs the the linning of carbon clothing.
