Re: Deer Cane

I have tried it a few different times. I never had any luck out of it. What I have done and have had good luck doing it is going to lowes and buying a 40 lb bag or bigger of the salt that is used in water softner systems. I will take this out into the woods and dig a hole. I will pour a good amount of salt into the hole and then shovel dirt back on to the salt. Mix the dirt and the salt together really good. I have a hole that is about 2' x 2' and about 1' deep. This works better for preseaon and the very beginning of the season. I am not going to say that it won't attrack deer later in the seaon, but they will be looking for the mineral deposits more when their antlers are growing.
