markyj987
Tired of getting drilled in the shoulder and tired of my flinch reflex from it, I decided to follow some of AJ's advice and get a one of the limbsaver recoil pads for my Rem. 870 Express. (The R3 uses the Sims Limbsaver technology.) Thanks, AJ! I flinched a little on shots 1 & 2 before I realized that it was no longer kicking as badly. The rest of my shots at the range were pretty good and I was VERY comfortable with my gun for the first time. I had very low expectations, but there was a huge reduction in recoil. It was the first time that I had FUN shooting the thing and it was less like work. Guess I'll be heading back to the sight-in clinic next weekend just for the heck of it. (I have some Lightfields that don't shoot well out of my gun, so I'll use those up and fine tune my scope with my regular ammo (Winchester Partition Golds). Thanks for the advice, AJ. Maybe for more balance, I'll try that mercury recoild reducer as well down the road, but for now, i'm not messing with it...lol.

AJ
Re: R3 recoil pad Good to hear it made a big difference for you. It does not make a 3.5" mag feel like a target load, but it does soften the blow a bit.
